Server requirements

Install the control panel on a fault-tolerant virtual or dedicated server.

Hardware requirements

Operating system

Supported operating systems:

• AlmaLinux 9 x64;
• CentOS 7 x64;
  
  

  CentOS 7 operating system:

  • not supported for new product installations;
  • for existing product installations is supported until EOL on June 30, 2024.
• Ubuntu 20.04 x64.

Recommendations for OS:

•  use the latest available minor OS version;
• do not upgrade the server operating system with a change of major version;
• do not install any additional software and do not connect any third-party repositories. All necessary repositories will be installed automatically during the DNSmanager installation. If this recommendation is not followed, DNSmanager may not be installed correctly.

You may install DNSmanager 6 on the server with DNSmanager 5. The installation script will automatically transfer data from DNSmanager 5. The control panel will be reconfigured to work with DBMS MySQL and the DNS server. Read more in the Migration from DNSmanager 5 to DNSmanager 6 article.

You cannot run DNSmanager 6 on the same server with other ISPsystem products.

Network settings

Allow incoming and outgoing connections to the ports:

• 22/TCP — for SSH;
• 53/TCP, 53/UDP — for DNS operation;
• 1501/TCP — for web-interface.
