Control panel address

Setting up a new address

Here is how you set it up:

  1. Select Settings from the Main menu.
  2. Select Panel settings from the dropdown list.
  3. On the form that pops up, click Add in the Panel address section.
  4. Complete the New address form:
    • IP address – specify the IP address where the incoming connections will be received;
    • Port – specify the port number to be used for incoming connections. The default setting will be used if you leave this field blank;
    • Forbid HTTP connections – the built-in web server can handle both HTTP and HTTPS queries. Check the check-box if you wish to prohibit HTTP queries. If you do this, they will be automatically redirected to HTTPS;

     

  5. Click Create.

The address you have created will be added to Panel address.

Important note!
  • Access to panel may be lost if the port is changed. Before you do the change, go to the system Firewall Rules and open the port you wish to assign to the panel.
  • Port 80 is the default port of the HTTP protocol. Port 443 is the default port of the HTTPS protocol. To prohibit HTTP connections for port 443, you need to set up port 80. If you enable the Prohibit HTTP Connections option for port 80, then every time an HTTP connection is requested at port 80, the query will redirect to port 443 via HTTPS. Keep in mind that HTTP connections are prohibited for port 443.

SSL Certificates for the panel

You can add SSL Certificates for the panel's addresses or domain name (Server Name Indication support required).

You need SSL Certificates for the panel's addresses to be able to access the control panel via HTTPS with the IP address or domain name.

Certificates are issued for domain names.

Panel address certificates

  1. Select Settings from the Main menu.
  2. Select Panel Settings from the dropdown list.
  3. On the form that pops up, click Add in the SSL certificates section.
  4. On the New certificate form that pops up, select in the Certificate type field the type of certificate you will be ordering:
    • Let’s Encrypt certificate (for more on Let’s Encrypt and how to use it, see Integration with Let’s Encrypt):
      • Certificate Domain name is the domain name for which the certificate is to be issued. Where an existing certificate is used, the domain name will be taken from there;
      • IP-address is the panel address to which the certificate will be tied;

         

    • Existing certificate:
      • SSL certificate – Specify the SSL Certificate you wish to use;
      • SSL certificate key – Specify the key for your SSL Certificate;
      • SSL certificate chain – Specify the SSL Certificate Chain to be added to the certificate file.
  5. Complete the required fields and click Create.

The newly created certificate will be added to SSL certificates.

Delete panel address certificate

To delete a certificate, click Delete. The selected certificate will be deleted.

The default self-signed certificate will be used for the IP address.

Server Name Indication

If your operating system supports Server Name Indication, you can generate multiple certificates for different domain names. Every time the panel is queried with a domain name, the certificate corresponding to that name will be used.

The following operating systems support Server Name Indication:

  • CentOS from version 7 on

Certificates with alternative domain names are supported.
