The module IPMI Proxy v2 allows you to connect to IPMI or Intel AMT with internal IP addresses on DCImanager locations. The module consists of the client and server parts. Both parts are docker images. The client part is installed on the server with DCImanager, the server part is installed on locations. VNC-connection is established for connecting to a server with the IPMI or Intel AMT. You can connect to the IPMI web interface or IPMI console. DCImanager supports connection to the IPMI console for equipment:
- Dell iDRAC 8;
- HP iLO3;
- HP iLO4;
- HP iLO5;
- Intel BMC;
- Supermicro X8;
- Supermicro X9;
- Supermicro X11.

How to install IPMI Proxy v2
- Go to Settings → Modules → IPMI proxy via the location server → click on Install.
Select the Locations where IPMI Proxy v2 will be installed.
When selecting a location, also specify the locations where IPMI Proxy v2 has been already installed. Otherwise, IPMI Proxy v2 will be deleted from them.
- If necessary, enable the Allow working with ISO-images through the IPMI web-interface option.
- Start the installation process.
How to connect to a server via IPMI Proxy v2
- Connect to the IPMI or Intel AMT. Learn more in Configuring server connections.
Go to Servers → click on the server name → Connections → IPMI (Intel AMT).
To connect to:
web-interface — press Go to → Go through proxy;
- console — press Open console.
The IPMI (Intel AMT) will open in a new window. If it is blocked, enable pop-up windows from the DCImanager server and in your browser settings.
Press Left Ctrl + V to send the clipboard to the IPMI (Intel AMT) web-interface.
Use the Login and Password buttons in the IPMI interface to paste login and password.
