DCImanager automatically starts HTTP and DHCP servers on all network interfaces of the created location. 

To configure location, go to the Dashboard → select the created location → Configure location. 

Note

Add equipment to the location only after its configuration is complete.


Example of settings

Configuring for DCImanager Hosting licenses


  1. Select the OS that will be stored on the location.
  2. Select Server diagnostics templates that will be stored on the location.
  3. Select Server recovery templates that will be stored on the location.
  4. Select DHCP interfaces where the DHCP server will run.

    Note

    Utilizing several DHCP-servers may lead to errors when performing operations. 

  5. Enter the Nginx IP address. Locations will use them to get the boot configuration file and send operation statuses. Specify IP addresses on the same physical networks as the DHCP interfaces.
  6. Click on Apply

Configuring for DCImanager Infrastructure licenses


  1. Select the IP addresses of the HTTP server. The location will use them for internal services. 
  2. If you are going to use location operations templates: 
    1. Enable the option Configure parameters to perform the operations with servers through PXE.
    2. Select the OS that will be stored on the location.
    3. Select Server diagnostics templates that will be stored on the location.
    4. Select Server recovery templates that will be stored on the location.
    5. Select DHCP interfaces where the DHCP server will run.

  3. Click on Apply
