You can move an IP address between virtual server services. For example, from a virtual server in VMmanager 5 to a server in VMmanager 6.

Migration is possible if the source server has more than one IP address. During the migration, the IP address will not be available for allocation to other virtual servers.

To move an IP address:

  1. Enter Products/Services → Virtual private servers → select the server → IP addresses → select the address → Move.
  2. Specify the migration parameters:
    1. ID of the Service to which the IP address is migrated.
    2. If the migration does not require payment, enable the Do not charge option.
    3. To prevent BILLmanager from checking the client's balance, enable the Do not check account balance option. If the client does not have enough money, the service will be created in debt.

Press Ok. BILLmanager will check the limit of available IP addresses and start the migration process.
