This billing type can be set for resources that a service provider includes in a tariff price. When ordering a service, a client cannot change the amount of this resource or cancel it.

Example: a hosting provider sells virtual servers and includes ISPmanager Lite in the price of the tariff plan. The provider can set the Do not bill billing type for "ISPmanager license".

The billing system will order a license for every VPS automatically. The client won't see the addon "ISPmanager license" on the service order form. If the provider wants to show this resource to the customers during the order, it needs to select another billing type.

Configuration

Main settings

  • Billing type — select how you want to charge your clients for add-ons.

  • Custom name — selecting this checkbox will display the "Name" field where you can enter the name for the addon.

Tariff plan limits

This section may vary depending on the Value type selected above.

Value type Boolean (yes/no):

  • Tariff plan includes — select the checkbox if you want to include the addon in the tariff plan by default. The checkbox is selected  - when a client orders a service, the addon will be ordered for this service by default. The checkbox is not selected  - when a client orders a service, the addon won't be added to the order.

Value type — Integer:

  • Unit of measure — select units of measure for the addon.
  • Tariff plan includes — amount of resource that the tariff plan includes by default in units of measure selected above.

"Value type" - enumeration:

Enumeration is a predefined list of elements. It can be used when a provider wants to allow clients to select only one option from the list of options.

Example: a user orders a virtual server. On the order page, he/she can also select a server control panel: ISPmanager Lite or ISPmanager Business.

To add an enumeration, navigate to ProductsEnumerations. Click on Values to see the full list of enumeration options.

Navigate to ProductsTariff plansConfigurationPrices to enable or disable a certain enumeration and set prices for enumerations.

  • Enumeration — select a service addon that will be available for order.
  • Default value — this value will be set by default if a client has not selected another enumeration.
